Help With Touch Nose to Hand

If you are having difficulties teaching your dog to “Touch” his nose to your hand, try these tips…

Rewards

Find Treats and Rewards that work best for the Touch lesson. You may need to change the treat value. Try treats that smell and taste better, i.e., steak, salmon treats, chicken, liver bits.

Timing

Hold the treat between your fingers so you can reward your dog immediately – within a couple of seconds. The longer it takes for you to reward him or her, the less your dog will understand.

Process
