Teaching your dog the Touch command helps your dog focus on you and move to your hand. It keeps your dog close to you and is often used in agility and freestyle.

Process

Have dog on either side of you on leash.

Rub the treat on the palm of one hand, put the treat in the other hand and keep it behind your back.

Put the smelly hand in front of dog’s nose and tell him to touch.

When he touches your hand, praise and give him the treat.
